Susanne Supper
Managing Director and Cluster Manager
Susanne Supper is the Managing Director of Green Energy Lab, heads the innovation lab and is responsible as Cluster Manager for the overall coordination of the project network for the Flagship Region Energy. Before Green Energy Lab was founded and launched in September 2018, she worked for several years as a senior project manager and head of an energy research department. Susanne Supper studied Civil Engineering and Water Management at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna.
Karin Dögl
Innovation Manager & Deputy Cluster Manager
Karin Dögl is the Innovation Manager & Deputy Cluster Manager at the Green Energy Lab with a focus on the exploitation of innovative solutions from research, development and innovation. As a funding consultant with many years of experience at regional and national funding agencies and R&D&I program management as well as in technology transfer at an Austrian university, the Japanology graduate brings with her the tools for translating science into business.
Ludwig Fliesser
Communications Manager
Ludwig Fliesser is the Communications Manager at the Green Energy Lab. He previously worked for many years as a journalist for various trade media and as managing director of a multimedia agency. He completed his studies in cultural and social anthropology at the University of Vienna.
Christian Kurz
R&D Manager
Dr. Christian Kurz is the R&D Manager of Green Energy Lab. The nuclear physicist holds a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and works as an innovation manager in Energie Burgenland AG. Prior to that, Christian Kurz was managing director of various subsidiaries.
François Laurent
Project Manager
François Laurent is a Project Manager and a driving force behind Green Energy Labs national and international network. He works towards enabling a thriving innovation ecosystem with a focus on scientific communication. Prior to joining the Green Energy Lab, he worked in international research projects on sustainable development and renewable energy in the Netherlands, Spain and Israel as well as the energy partnership of the GIZ in Tunisia.
Daniela Kain
Project Manager
Daniela Kain is a Project Manager and responsible for portfolio agendas in the Green Energy Lab. Previously, Daniela Kain worked as a program manager in research funding (Smart Cities, Energy Transition, Co-Creation-Spaces) at one of the largest Austrian funding agencies in the climate and energy sector. She studied Communication Science and Theory of Science in Vienna and International Project Management in Graz.
David Weiss
Project Manager
David Weiss is a project manager at the Green Energy Lab. He studied geography with a focus on spatial planning and has extensive experience in urban and transportation planning as well as sustainable mobility management. Throughout his career, he has worked on a variety of projects to make urban spaces more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Rafaela Richter
Project Assistant
Rafaela Richter supports the team in project management and communication as a project assistant. After graduating from high school, she completed a "voluntary environmental year" at the Association for Consumer Information at the Austrian Ecolabel. In addition to her work at Green Energy Lab, Rafaela Richter successfully completed a part-time bachelor's degree in Business Management at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems in 2024. Besides her ongoing professional practice, she continues to deepen her knowledge by pursing a Master's degree in Environmental and Sustainability Management.
Melahat Coskun-Esen
Project Assistant
Melahat Coskun-Esen works as a Project Assistant in the Green Energy Lab and in this role supports the monitoring and impact assessment of the sample solutions of the Green Energy Lab projects. In addition to her support at the Green Energy Lab, she is studying environmental engineering at the Vienna University of Technology.
Fiona Fleischhacker
Scientific Trainee
Fiona Fleischhacker works as a Scientific Trainee at Green Energy Lab and supports the team when it comes to monitoring, impact assessment as well as Foresight activities. In addition to her work at Green Energy Lab, she is studying Environment and Bioresources Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna.
