The Green Energy Lab developed in cooperation with stakeholders andexpertsan interactive visualization, that analyzes and evaluates technology trends in the energy sector and presents them in a clear and concise manner. This “RadarView” is the core of the “Green Energy Foresight”. It helps identify technologies that will enable Austria to make our energy supply future-proof as quickly and sustainably as possible.

With the help of modern trend research methods, the “RadarView” identified eleven fields of innovation that can very quickly have a positive impact on our climate and energy future.

The fields of innovation and their technologies are defined by six criteria. assessed: maturity of the individual technology, system maturity of the technology, the market opportunities, and the potential of the technology to enable change. In addition, the risks as well as the direct impact that the technologies have on climate change mitigation are assessed.

Energy trends are continuously analyzed in the Green Energy Lab, subjected to a reality and relevance check, and their influence on climate change is evaluated and updated annually.

„RadarView“ vsees itself as intuitive Visualization of the „Green Energy Foresighting-Journey“ at a glance and is designed to be interactive.
