The aim is to collect and document the necessary data sources for heating networks and to create an IT architecture for data access for energy strategy and planning, taking into account data protection and data security issues. The provision of data significantly accelerates planning processes and minimizes investment costs.
The database is used for the ENERGYatlas and the ENERGYapp as well as for other energy planning use cases in the regions of Vienna, Styria and Salzburg and could theoretically be applied to all Austrian regions and beyond.
