For the first time, an energy storage system based on 2nd-life batteries is being set up and investigated with regard to peak load capping and energy recovery.
The storage system will not only be the first to be based exclusively on used batteries for industrial purposes, but will also be designed as a semi-mobile container that can be transported to different locations.
The concept is very flexible and could be adapted to different applications in the industry.
