A business model for the conversion of wind power into hydrogen, with a direct pipeline from a wind farm, is being investigated. This includes a mobility provider that operates public buses, a nearby small town and the possibility of a filling station for hydrogen vehicles.
Together with the possibility of using the natural gas grid as an overflow storage facility, the business model offers an alternative way of combining wind energy and mobility.
This solution is transferable to urban areas in the vicinity of a wind turbine.
