Fabian Kesicki joins the board of the Green Energy Lab

Fabian Kesicki succeeds Michael Fuchs as a new board member and representative of Wien Energie. He brings over thirteen years of experience in the energy sector to his role, especially in the areas of strategy, innovation, market and competition analysis.

Green Energy Lab has a new board member: Fabian Kesicki is replacing Michael Fuchs, who held this position on an interim basis, as Wien Energie’s representative. “I am looking forward to the new challenge of initiating innovations in renewable energy together with the Green Energy Lab and being able to make an important contribution to sustainability,” explains Fabian Kesicki.

Expertise in the energy industry and climate protection

Fabian Kesicki brings over thirteen years of experience in the energy sector to his role, especially in the areas of strategy, innovation, market and competition analysis. As Head of Corporate Development at Wien Energie, he is responsible for strategy and innovation development and coordinates digitization and sustainability activities. At the beginning of his professional career, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Stuttgart and gained insight into long-term developments on the oil market. Kesicki has extensive experience as an energy analyst at the International Energy Agency, where he led the analysis and modeling for energy efficiency and industrial energy demand. Fabian Kesicki worked in the World Energy Outlook Team of the International Energy Agency for almost five years. Most recently, the new board member of the Green Energy Lab was head of market and competitor analysis in the group strategy of the German energy group E.ON.

Kesicki is a graduate of the industrial engineering course at the University of Karlsruhe and completed his doctorate at the UCL Energy Institute at University College, London.
