Local energy system models developed in previous projects for the optimised control of flexible loads are now to be further developed and expanded as tools to support the planning process in quarters. The mathematical model for simulating local energy systems helps to quantify the monetary benefits. It will be extended to quarter heating supply solutions and tested with data from the planning process (e.g. from digital twins). The aim is to avoid bottlenecks in the distribution grid, increase self-consumption of renewable energy in urban quarters and ensure compatibility with the requirements of the distribution grid operator, with a focus on heat generation using heat pumps.
